In cooperation with the network staff at UH ITS, we provide complete network support for the UH researchers at Leahi Hospital and for Kewalo Marine laboratory. In both of these locations we designed the building network and installed hardware purchased with RCMI funds. We also support specialized LAN configurations in several on-campus buildings.

Ke Ola O Hawaii, a JABSOM initiative, was housed for many years in the Sinclair Building at Leahi Hospital. Using funds from the Kellog Foundation, they installed a fiber optic connection between their offices and Kapiolani Community College. When the Specialized Neuroscience Program (then a PBRC initiative) took over the space in the Sinclair Building, the CNSF assumed responsibility for the network connection to KCC.

Using RCMI funds, we installed an extensive fiber-optic network at Leahi Hospital. Fiber optic cable now connects research areas in the Sinclair, Atherton, Administration and Young Buildings. In addition, all of the media converters, ethernet switches and ethernet cabling was purchased and installed by the CNSF.

The CNSF also maintains a file storage server, a DHCP server and a DNS server at Leahi Hospital.

In partnership with UH ITS network staff, the CNSF coordinated the installation of a fiber optic network connection between the Kewalo Marine Laboratory and the JABSOM campus in Kaka'ako. All network hardware at the Laboratory was purchased and installed by the CNSF using RCMI funds.

The CNSF maintains a file storage server and a DHCP server at Kewalo Marine Laboratory.

We also have numerous switches and firewalls in various laboratories on the Manoa campus. Many of these laboratories have specialized LAN configurations with ethernet wiring installed by the CNSF.
