| A little deeper in the cell the spongiome (spo) of the CV is more pronounced. Oral membranelles (opk) in the buccal cavity are indicated by three ciliary rows per membranelle. One of several membranelles making up the perioral ciliature forms a tuft at the top. The cell’s pellicle consists of a plasma membrane and alveolar sac (al) system. EM taken on 3/12/71 by R.
