A continuation of the bottom portion of Fig. 2a. The packed layer of mitochondria just under the dorsal pellicle is prominent. A row of eight cilia (arrowheads) can be seen along one kinety arising from round to oval depressions in the cell’s surface. A grid bar was deleted on the left. EM taken on 8/1/67 by R. Allen with Philips 200 TEM. Neg. 1,800X. Bar = 5µm.
